This can be a very anti-aging procedure although it is one that is traditionally associated with the older crowd because it can be used to replace teeth that have become extremely decayed or discolored.
Dental implants are false teeth attached to metal screw-like apparatus that are placed into the gums to replace teeth that have either become chipped, misshapen or decayed beyond repair. These teeth are removed to make way for false teeth that are perfected and make the smile have an overall improved appearance. Dental implants can be used to replace individual teeth or all of the teeth in the mouth as an alternative to dentures. Dental implants are considered to be more anti-aging than dentures because they reduce the amount of jaw recession that occurs.
Dental crowns, bridges and veneers
Dental crowns or caps, are no longer only used to cover the access point of root canals but can also be used to make teeth even and more attractive looking. Dental bridges are a false teeth that are held into place through the use of crowns on either side of the tooth gap. Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are placed over the fronts of teeth to make them appear whiter and more perfected. All of these forms of cosmetic dentistry utilize pieces of porcelain to help perfect teeth.
When gums become misshapen or receding, they can be reshaped using specialized dental lasers to make them look younger and healthier. Having healthy gums is an important part in having an attractive and young looking smile, as it is a full package that requires the perfection of all aspects of the mouth. Gums can lose their young appearance easily if individuals do not floss or brush them regularly and let bacteria multiply.
